Terms and Conditions
Certified Professional Detailers (CPD)
Professional Standards & Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 2026
PART I – CPD PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
The Industry Standard for Professional Behavior
Certified Professional Detailers (CPD) exists to help raise the standard of the automotive detailing industry through education, professionalism, integrity, and community. Membership in CPD represents a commitment to continuous improvement and ethical business practices.
1. Put the Customer First
A professional detailer educates, guides, and serves. Recommendations should be made in the customer's best interest and based on honesty, transparency, and realistic expectations.
2. Tell the Truth
Members should accurately represent their experience, products, services, certifications, warranties, and expected results. Misleading claims or deceptive marketing have no place in a professional industry.
3. Compete With Excellence
CPD encourages healthy competition through professionalism, customer experience, and quality workmanship—not through personal attacks, harassment, or intentionally damaging the reputation of others.
4. Build, Don't Boast
Professionalism is demonstrated through consistent action and customer results, not exaggerated claims or unnecessary negativity.
5. Honor Your Commitments
Members should strive to communicate clearly, keep appointments, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and conduct business in a manner that builds trust and confidence.
6. Never Stop Learning
The detailing industry evolves continuously. Members are encouraged to remain students of the craft, improve their technical abilities, and strengthen their business knowledge.
7. Maintain Professional Standards
Professionalism extends beyond the finished vehicle. Clean facilities, organized operations, respectful communication, and attention to detail create confidence and trust.
8. Operate a Sustainable Business
Members should seek to build healthy, profitable businesses that allow them to provide exceptional customer service and long-term value to their communities.
9. Support the Community
CPD believes that a stronger industry benefits everyone. Members are encouraged to share knowledge, support fellow professionals, and help new detailers build successful businesses.
10. Leave the Industry Better Than You Found It
Every customer interaction, social media post, business decision, and professional relationship is an opportunity to raise the standard for the detailing industry as a whole.
The CPD Professional Commitment
As a Certified Professional Detailer, I commit to operating with integrity, professionalism, and respect. I will continue to improve my craft, serve my customers honestly, support the growth of others, and help build an industry defined by excellence rather than ego.
Certified. Supported. Connected. One Industry. A Higher Standard.

6. Certification Status
CPD certification acknowledges successful completion of CPD educational requirements. Certification does not constitute a professional license, government accreditation, guarantee of competency, or warranty of the quality of any member's work.
CPD reserves the right to suspend or revoke certification status for conduct that materially violates these Professional Standards or damages the integrity or reputation of the organization.
7. Community Standards
Members agree to maintain a respectful and professional environment. Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, threats, doxxing, unlawful conduct, or repeated disruptive behavior may result in removal from the community and termination of membership without refund.

CPD does not control or guarantee the availability, quality, accuracy, or performance of any third-party offering and assumes no responsibility for their actions or results.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Certified Professional Detailers and its owners, affiliates, instructors, partners, and representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of your use of CPD services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another party.
12. Modification of Terms
CPD reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
